Pc issues can be broke down into two categories. They can be major or minor. If you encounter an issue. It could be something as simple as a software problem, system settings, or system startup. It also could be a deeper issue such as virus, hardware malfunction, but i recommend trouble shooting. You don't want to cause more issues to occur. You just simple want to find the problem and fix it. Here is some trouble shooting tips and basic imformation that I hope will help you.
System Distress is selfexplainitory. Computers have physical limitations. They contain memory, storage capabilty, and proccessing capabilities. You want to stay within the computers limitations. For example too many programs in the startup folder. Over time using and modifying these programs will manifest into issues. Data loss or corruption can be another issue. Pc performance depends on the integrity of billions of binary digits(electronic pulses) on a magnetized platter in the hardrive. One of these digits malfunctioning could result in the hardware to not respond. Data loss can occur when there are software bugs, user operating errors, system stress, and wear and tear of the hardware. One major issue is a virus which is self replicating bits of code that can spread quickly and cause immediate damage.Another issue could be incorrect settings. The computers settings are like driving directions. They must be accurate. Microsoft optimizes the operating system default, but it can be changed as you use and modify your computer. Software and hardware failure could be a problem. Software failure occurs from flawwed programming or improper installation. Hardware failure results from simple wear and tear. The warning signs are unresponsive hardware error messages. If you encounter these issues then hear are a few tips on how to resolve them. First assess and try to identify the error messages. What were you doing at the time you recieved them. Were you installing software for example. Just try to remember what was taking place at that time. Next you want to rule out any loose connections. You can simply reboot your pc and resolve the issue. If it reboots normal then it could be a minor issue and if it is slow rebooting there could be a deeper issue. You can refer to your manual to troubleshoot and you also have an online resource to assist you. Elimination of viruses can be an easy fix(virus scan/protection software). Software issues can be easily resolved. Simply reinstalling the software and updating the older programs can solve the problem. If there is a hardware problem then you can refer to troubleshooting and or replacement of the hardware. Make sure that if you do this that you update the device drivers. Cleaning your startup programs can help. These programs constantly run in the background and can prevent you from running new applications. Last, but not least you can clean the registry and bios settings. If you just take time and familiarize yourself and educate yourself then you can keep you investment ( your computer) running and performing at its optimal performance.
